Steve Embley, DO, MBA, FAAFP

 Dr. Embley, a board-certified Family Medicine physician and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, has three roles at Roseman College of Medicine: Chair of the Clinical Sciences Department, Director of Clinical Skills, and Medical Director for Roseman Medical Group. His extensive experience in medical leadership and education includes his previous role as Assistant Dean of Clinical Sciences at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he spearheaded the development and implementation of their pre-clerkship clinical curriculum.

Dr. Embley’s career is marked by a deep commitment to patient care. He has practiced in a wide range of clinical settings, including family medicine clinics, hospitals, urgent care centers, and rural medicine, where he provided comprehensive care encompassing obstetrics, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine. His leadership roles have included serving as hospital chief of staff, hospice director, and Chief Medical Officer of a large multi-specialty group. Prior to his medical career, Dr. Embley earned an MBA and spent many years in business development.

Dr. Embley and his wife, Heidi, are the proud parents of five adult children and recently welcomed their tenth grandchild. Passionate about serving his community, Dr. Embley actively participates in volunteer healthcare and local organizations. As a medical educator, he emphasizes the importance of listening to patients and instills in his students the values of integrity and compassion as cornerstones of exceptional medical practice.
